Die Nachfrage nach Bitcoin schwankt extrem stark – und mit ihr der Preis der digitalen Währung. Im Jahr 2017 erreichte der Bitcoin immer neue Höchstwerte: 5.000 US-Dollar im Oktober, 10.000 US-Dollar im November und schließlich das Allzeithoch bei 20.000 US-Dollar am 17. Dezember. Dann platzte die Blase, der Preis rutschte ab, erst bei gut 3.000 US-Dollar kam die Wende. Doch die Volatilität ist weiterhin hoch. Allein am 12. März 2020 fiel der Preis von Bitcoin an einem Tag um 37 Prozent. Das war allerdings mitten in der Corona-Krise, in der auch Aktien und Anleihen abstürzten. Aktuell nimmt der Bitcoin wieder die 10.000-US-Dollar-Marke ins Visier. Für Anleger mit schwachen Nerven sind Bitcoins also nichts.

Nvidia ist einer der größten Entwickler von Grafikprozessoren (GPUs) und Chipsätzen für Computer und Spielkonsolen. NVIDIA hat diese Grafikkarten ursprünglich vor allem für Gamer entwickelt. Heute werden die GPUs auch in Robotern und selbstfahrenden Autos eingesetzt, um deren mächtigen Bedarf nach Rechenleistung zu stillen. Auch beim Mining von Kryptowährungen kommen spezialisierte GPUs zur Verarbeitung von Transaktionen auf der Blockchain zum Einsatz. Da das jedoch gegenwärtig nicht die Haupteinnahmequelle für NVIDIA ist, kann das kalifornische Unternehmen zwar von einem zukünftigen Boom bei Kryptowährungen profitieren, ist aber nicht besonders stark etwa vom Bitcoin-Kurs abhängig.
Aktuell hat Nvidia eine Marktkapitalisierung von 196,21 Milliarden Euro, und die Aktie notiert nahe ihrem Höchststand bei 344,85 Euro. Vom Corona-Einbruch hat sich die Nvidia-Aktie also sehr schnell erholt.

Kreditkarten-Vergleich: Die besten Angebote im Test
Das Finanzdienstleistungsunternehmen Square aus San Francisco hat zwei Geschäftsbereiche: Zum einen hat es sich auf die Abwicklung mobiler Zahlungen für Händler und kleine Unternehmen spezialisiert. Hierfür vermarktet das Unternehmen von Twitter-Mitgründer Jack Dorsey verschiedene Software- und Hardwareprodukte. Zum anderen hat Square parallel dazu den Bezahldienst Cash App entwickelt, mit dem Privatleute sich untereinander Geld per Smartphone schicken können. Es gibt bereits mehr als 24 Millionen aktive Nutzer. Square ist in zweierlei Hinsicht eine Bitcoin-Aktie: Die Benutzer der Cash App können über die bereits enthaltene Bitcoin-Wallet schnell und einfach Bitcoin kaufen und verkaufen. Mit einem Bitcoin-Umsatz von mehr als 500 Millionen US-Dollar auf seiner Plattform im Jahr 2019 ist dies ein bedeutender Teil des Geschäfts. Außerdem verfügt Square über ein eigenes Team von Bitcoin-Entwicklern, bekannt als Square Crypto, das mehrere interessante eigene Projekte hat.
Die Marktkapitalisierung von Square liegt aktuell bei 33,2 Milliarden Euro. Aktuell nähert sie der Kurs der Aktie der 80-Euro-Marke und ist damit schon wieder circa auf Vor-Corona-Niveau.
Der Chiphersteller AMD hat sich mit der Übernahme des Grafikkartenherstellers ATI im Jahr 2006 als Wettbewerber von Nvidia positioniert. Theoretisch ist das Schürfen von Bitcoins mit allen GPUs möglich, jedoch haben sich gerade AMD-Chips als besonders effizient erwiesen – auch für das Schürfen der konkurrierenden Kryptowährung Ethereum. Chips von anderen Herstellern wie Intel oder Qualcomm kommen hier nicht in Betracht, weil sie ihren Fokus auf den Haupt-Prozessor (CPU) gerichtet haben. Seit Kurzem arbeiten AMD und Nvidia sogar zusammen: AMD liefert seinen neuesten Hochleistungsprozessor an den direkten Konkurrenten und Marktführer für KI-Systeme.
AMD hat aktuell eine Marktkapitalisierung von 56 Milliarden Euro. Die Aktie notiert aktuell um die 50-Euro-Marke. Ihren Höchsttand erreichte sie im Februar dieses Jahres bei 54,89 Euro.
Lange hat die Kryptowelt darauf gewartet, nun ist es wohl bald so weit: Demnächst soll ein neues Finanzprodukt namens BTCetc Bitcoin Exchange Traded Crypto (BTCE) auf der Handelsplattform XETRA der Deutschen Börse handelbar sein. Laut der britischen ETC Group ist das die „weltweit erste Exchange Traded Cryptocurrency (ETC) mit zentraler Abwicklung“. Was ein bisschen wie ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund) klingt, ist in Wahrheit kein börsengehandelter Indexfonds, sondern eine börsennotierte Inhaberschuldverschreibung (Exchange Traded Note, kurz: ETN). BTCE bildet die Preisentwicklung von Bitcoin ab und ist zu 100 Prozent mit physischen Bitcoins hinterlegt. Diese Struktur ähnelt sehr der bereits etablierten Struktur von physisch hinterlegten Gold-ETCs. Da BTCE an regulierten Märkten gehandelt wird, können Anleger das Produkt auf die gleiche Weise kaufen und verkaufen wie Aktien im ganz normalen Handel. Anleger müssen sich nicht mit den technischen Herausforderungen beim Kauf und der Verwahrung von Bitcoin befassen, also zum Beispiel kein Krypto-Wallet einrichten und nicht an unregulierten Krypto-Börsen handeln. Was jedoch bleibt, ist die starke Volatilität des Bitcoins, weil er der Schuldverschreibung zugrunde liegt.
